- Database Administration specially for Oracle and SQL Server and will be learning more about MySQL in the near future to look into the capabilities and usefulness for an open source RDBMS. I have used tools like ERwin for data modeling from Computer Associates; Schema Manager, Toad, and others from Quest; DBArtisan from Embarcadero Technologies and many others in IT other than the ones more in tune with Database Admin work.
I just got certified in Oracle10g (OCA, OCP, and SQL Expert) and I am currently working on my certification for Oracle11g. After this goal is accomplished, what other certification I pursue will depent on my time availability. I would like to continue the training and certification process with SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008 but if I get a project/job doing Oracle DBA work, then I would like to focus more on Oracle by preparing myself for other certifications within Oracle like RAC, STREAMS, BI, Datawarehousing.
